This is my interpretation of the beautiful "Absinthe Robette" poster from the fin de siecle period of France, the height of Art Nouveau and decorative grace and charm. Romanticism of Absinthe was de rigeur until the substance was banned in 1915. This work is preparatory to creating some completely original Absinthe posters in the popular Art Nouveau style. |
