question Where does the name 'Prophecy Arts' come from?
answer

It has to do with the history of my name, Cassandra. Back in Ancient Greece, Cassandra was a daughter of Hecuba and King Priam, the rulers of Troy. She was given the gift of prophecy by the god Apollo because he fancied her, but she spurned him and as a result he cursed her to always tell true prophecies, but to never be believed. I like to call her the "I told you so" priestess. She foretold the doom of Troy (and specifically the betrayal of the Trojan Horse) but no-one believed her and the city was plundered.

So as a result of this birth name, I've had the myths and legends to associate with and I felt Prophecy Arts was a suitable name for my online gallery - it suits my style of artwork as well as having a deeper meaning.

question
Why is this site in American Dollars and not Australian Dollars, seeing as you are from Australia?
answer Paypal services are not yet provided in Australian dollars, so to avoid the confusion of currency conversion in the most popular payment method, I've adopted US currency. Also the majority of my online buyers so far have been from the United States, so for simplicity and convenience of the majority of my patrons, the US currency has been adopted for all the prices on the site.

question How about the measurements on the site?
answer These are in feet and inches, once again for the convenience of US patrons. We all know feet & inches anyway, at least, my mum taught me all about 'em...

question I have noticed you have "www.prophecyarts.com" on all your images. Is the URL on your actual prints as well?
answer No! Absolutely not. The URL is 'watermarked' on all digital images so that if and when they are saved by people and possibly posted in far flung corners of the web, people viewing the images will know where they came from and can find their way here to view more of my art.

question I love your artwork! Can I use your images on my site and/or link to your site?
answer

Yes, you may, as long as you a) do not alter the image in any way b) email me to let me know where the images are being used and c) embed the image with a link to the main page of this website.
